Classroom Management - Grupo 1 - PEII-PR
Classroom management is the process by which teachers and schools create and maintain appropriate behavior of students in classroom settings. The purpose of implementing classroom management strategies is to enhance prosocial behavior and increase student academic engagement (Emmer & Sabornie, 2015; Everston & Weinstein, 2006).
In the context of English Teaching, promoting a classroom environment that fosters creativity and empowerment for students to succeed in the acquisition of a second language comes alongside encouragement and support that a teacher must provide from the classroom, which, for the purpose of this course, is understood as any space in which students and teachers interact to learn from one another and develop competencies.
